Show #2 - 8/29

So the playlist updater-thing was a little wacked out last night and the playlist that's posted on WUAG's site (http://www.uncg.edu/wua/webplaylist.html) isn't exactly what I played. Here's the actual tracklisting from last week:

1. MV + EE with the Bummer Road Band - Mine All Troubled Blues (Green Blues, Ecstatic Peace, 2007)

2. Gila - This Morning (Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, '73)

3. Electroputas - International Harvest (3, '04)

4. Guru Guru - Stone In (UFO, '70)

5. Modulo 1000 - Nao Fale Com Paredes (Nao Fale Com Paredes, '70)

6. Reign Ghost - Black Ode (S/T, '69)

7. Pau Riba - La Dansa De La Terra (La Dona I el Gripau, '71)

8. Ash Ra Tempel - Light and Darkness (Darkness) (Schwingungen, '72)

9. Maitreya Kali - Voodoo Spell (Apache, '71)

10. Sunroof! - Track 3 (Rainbow Electric Sabbath, unknown)

11. Brightblack Morning Light - Everybody Daylight (S/T, '06)

12. Edip Akbayram and Dostlar - Mehmet Emmi I (Nedir Ne Degildir, '75)

13. German Oak - The Third Reich (S/T, '72)

14. Organisation - Milk Rock (Tone Float, '70)

15. Brainticket - Black Sand (Cottonwoodhill, '71)

16. 13th Floor Elevators - Thru the Rhythm (The Psychedelic Sounds of..., '66)

17. Out of Focus - Blue Sunday Morning (S/T, '71)

18. (International) Harvester - Kristallen Den Fina (Hemat, '69)

I'm at the beach right now, so I'm going to get back to drinking and being sandy. I'll get some more information on here when I get back.

Very cool to see a show like this on wuag. Other than Can and Faust, I really don't recognize any of the bands that you play and will definitley try to tune in Wednesday evenings to give your show a listen. If you are looking for some more recent psych stuff, check out Northern Star Records out of England. They have a couple great comps. And throwing in some Gong during your set wouldn't be a bad thing....

My roommate actually asked me to play some Gong a while ago and it's totally slipped my mind. NEXT WEEK! Thanks for tuning in!
